1. A lesson plan for Year 1, 2 or 3 to address Focus Areas of Safety (S) and Relationships (RS). 2. A lesson plan for Year 4, 5 or 6 to address Focus Areas of Food and Nutrition (FN) and The Health Benefits of Physical Activity (HBPA) This is an opportunity to incorporate age-appropriate resources in lessons that will be active, engaging and motivating. The key to good lesson planning is establishing well thought out objectives that link to relevant curriculum. Your introduction should engage the students, the body of your lesson should include effective teaching techniques and the conclusion should wrap-up the lesson, reflecting back upon your lesson objectives. At all stages of your lesson, HPE must be the focus. Create summative assessment rubrics to be used to assess students at any stage during each of the lessons, ensuring that the criteria are linked to the HPE Australian Curriculum content descriptors. You can assess all or part of each individual lesson (perhaps one activity, a sequence of activities, or the entire lesson). Criteria in your rubric should only be related to HPE (e.g. criteria such as 'neatness', 'group work' or additional learning areas need not be included as we're only looking to see that you can assess HPE). You need to describe the different levels of achievement for each criteria. In summary, you will submit 2 lesson plans and 2 rubrics. No appendix is expected and only the 2 lesson plans and 2 rubrics will count towards your mark.
